Providing innovative new ways to connect people and impart knowledge, our programs will inspire, motivate and develop skills that will have your team working collaboratively in the pursuit of personal and professional excellence.
In 2012, Ste. Anne’s Spa began to introduce equine programs to offer guests the opportunity to spend time with our horses. For many, the interaction helped to alleviate stress and offered a sense of calmness. Since then, we have expanded the program and are excited to offer seven new equine workshops.
Led by our stable caretaker, the new workshops are designed to help improve teamwork, cooperation, listening skills, respect, communication and problem solving. The one-hour classes are perfect for up to ten people and do not include riding. Participants work with the horses either by leading or by using verbal and non-verbal cues, to achieve objectives individually or in teams. Horses are like mirrors and their emotions mimic our own. By changing our actions, we can see the changes directly in the horse. This allows for individual improvement, in addition to an increased awareness of how others perceive our actions.
Join our Stable Caretaker for the morning chores at Ste. Anne's Farms. Make sure you bring appropriate footwear (rubber boots or an old pair of runners) and a pair of gloves. Chores include feeding (the horses and cows), turning out the horses, cleaning the stalls, sweeping, bringing in the outside horses to feed, and getting the barn ready for afternoon chores. 10 person maximum per session.
Evening Turn in
Join our Stable Caretaker for evening turn in at Ste. Anne's Farms. Chores include turning out any horses that may be in the barn, making sure the barn is ready for animals to be brought in for the night, picking the stalls, filling water buckets, bringing in the horses, feeding the cows, sweeping, and general clean up. 10 person maximum per session.
Are you feeling like a little one-on-one with an equine? Book some grooming time with our Stable Caretaker and one of the horses at Ste. Anne's Farms. The Caretaker will help you to catch your horse in the field, secure him in cross-ties, groom the horse - including brushing the coat and mane, massaging any of the sore muscles, picking their feet and braiding their tail (if time permits). 5 person maximum per session.
Join our Stable Caretaker for a session of silent reflection and bonding with our horses. Enjoy some quiet time with our horses and get to know them, or participate in a variety of games to help you to get to know and trust your team a little better. 10 person maximum per session.
