We're Open | COVID-19 Information
These are challenging times. It seems as though there is more acrimony and division in our society than any time in recent memory.
Forty years ago Jay Rawlings made a prophecy while walking on our property. It went like this; “I have chosen this beautiful garden where I will send many people to be healed.” We often wonder if these words can be attributed to our namesake, Sainte-Anne de Beaupré.
Since a pandemic was declared in March 2020 we have worked closely with our local Health Unit to take the necessary steps to keep our staff and our guests safe while doing our utmost to provide a respite free of the stress and distractions of the real world. As a result of these efforts, we can say that we have not had a single case of workplace transmission.
If you are feeling unwell or if you are anxious at all about being around other people in a high contact, high touch environment, please stay at home and consider postponing your visit. We will waive any cancellation charges for anyone who decides to cancel or postpone their stay, with the deposit remaining as a credit on file for a future visit.
In keeping with the lifting of the Ontario Vaccine Passport Program on March 1st, we will no longer be asking guests about their vaccine status. We strongly encourage our employees and everyone planning to visit Ste. Anne's Spa to be fully vaccinated, but we also understand that this is not an option for some people.
Background
Years ago we adopted a mission to “Bring the power of healing through human touch to the world”. With over 500 acres of rolling hills and lush cedar forest, we invite you to take a deep breath, and use your time here to focus on your personal well-being and healing.
Our unique combination of therapeutic treatments, healthy food, fresh air, mindful meditation and exercise is the key to unlocking your body’s intrinsic ability to relax and unwind. We take the health of our team and our guests very seriously and have added many enhanced measures to ensure that everyone feels safe and comfortable. We are also asking our guests to be mindful and respectful of other guests and staff, allowing for physical distancing as much as possible.
Our Covid-19 Methodology
We believe that people understand the risk associated with Covid-19 and the measures that will keep us all safe. Physical distancing, indoor mask use and hand washing, deep cleaning and sanitization, Spa Treatments and self-care are the pillars of our stay safe protocols. It is also vitally important that you feel comfortable and free of anxiety during your visit. While we can take steps to make you feel safe, we cannot guarantee your safety.
If you are anxious at all about being around other people in a high contact environment, please stay at home and consider postponing your visit.
You must be free from symptoms of Covid-19 or any contagious illness 72 hours prior to arrival.
If you have concerns about Covid-19 you can cancel your booking, without penalty. Your deposit will be held as credit on file to be applied to a future visit.
For our employees here at Ste. Anne’s, we have a zero-symptom policy and staff are provided rapid test kits for their use.
Rapid Testing
We have invested in non-invasive, highly accurate rapid tests kits. As of March 1st, we are no longer requiring every guest to take a test upon entry, however any guest wishing to take one is welcome to do so.
Safe Entry Archway
When entering our reception area, you have the option to be screened with our new Safe Entry Archway. This technology scans for multiple symptoms associated with infectious disease: cough, exhaustion, fever, headache, redness of eyes, sweat gland activation and congestion. If the system flags that you are symptomatic, you will be asked to take a rapid antigen test.
Physical Distancing
Arrival times will be staggered to avoid congestion in our reception area and during some times of the day you may be able to check-in without even entering the building. However, circumstances will sometimes make it impossible for everyone to be on time for their scheduled arrival so if you are going to arrive outside of that window, please call our guest services team to confirm when you are able to enter the reception area.
Mask Use and Hand-Washing
Wearing of face coverings in indoor common areas is required by staff and guests, the exception being those who have a medical reason why they cannot safely wear a mask or are unable to remove a mask without assistance.
We have posted reminders around the building to encourage frequent hand washing, physical distancing and the use of face coverings while indoors. There are multiple locations to wash hands or hand sanitize throughout the Spa.
Sanitization
For all cleaning and sanitization, we are using PreEmpt and Vert2Go Saber which are both approved by Health Canada as an effective disinfectant and sanitizer. Common areas and every spa treatment room has a HEPA filtration system.
Spa Treatments and Self Care
Face coverings will be worn by the spa staff and are mandatory for guests during spa treatments. We have disposable face masks available if you don't have your own. The decision to provide treatment to a guest will be at the sole discretion of the therapist. Our treatment rooms are disinfected between each treatment.
Enhance and extend the benefits of therapeutic spa treatments on your health with meditation, heat and hydrotherapy, exercise and a healthy diet. Maintaining a healthy immune system is vital to defending yourself from Covid-19 and many other illness and disease.
Our reservations team is available to take your calls at 1-888-346-6772 if you would like to book or if you have any additional questions. You may also send questions to info@steannes.com.
