Serves: 4–6
- 10 dinner rolls (could purchase from a local bakery or grocer)
- ½ cup pumpkin puree
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ¾ cup salted butter, divided
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp pumpkin spice
- Step 1
Tear the dinner rolls into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large bowl or resealable bag.
- Step 2
Melt ¼ of the butter (about 3 tablespoons) in a small saucepan. Stir in the granulated sugar and pumpkin spice until combined. Pour the mixture over the torn bread and toss until all pieces are coated.
- Step 3
Transfer the coated bread into a greased baking dish or loaf pan. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes, until golden and slightly crispy on top.
- Step 4
In a small saucepan, melt the remaining butter. Stir in brown sugar, pumpkin puree, and vanilla extract. Gradually whisk in heavy cream until smooth and well combined.
- Step 5
Remove the baked bread from the oven. Pour the pumpkin caramel sauce evenly over the bread. Let cool slightly before serving.
