Benefits Of Eucalyptus

The scent of eucalyptus is unforgettable – and so too is our Eucalyptus Inhalation Room, a one-of-a-kind room that’s loved and long remembered by our @steannesspa guests. The minty, menthol-like aromatic steam envelops you as you enter our famous steam room, melting away life’s stress and tension, relaxing your whole body as you sit in the soothing, steamy surroundings. Breathing in the aromatic air is pure bliss for your mind, body and soul, and relieves so many things that ail you. Eucalyptus has a bunch of real health benefits you’ll love – from clearing your sinuses and relieving stress and sore muscles to boosting your immune system. Add to that improving memory, mood and sleep.

Originally native to Australia, Eucalyptus trees grow all over the world and are loved for their amazing medicinal properties found in the oil which essentially comes from the tree’s leaves – they’re dried, crushed and distilled to release the oil. The fragrant oil is then diluted for a multitude of uses, even for detoxifying homes. Health experts give this age-old plant extract straight A’s – anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, antiseptic, antifungal, antimicrobial, antiviral, and antibacterial properties. It’s a natural remedy against wounds, infections, aches and colds and even seasonal allergies. Wow!

Eucalyptus is commonly used in the practice of aromatherapy, and to soothe our guests in some of our therapeutic spa treatments. Our Eucalyptus Detox Wrap is a relaxing aromatic heat treatment that helps to rid your body of toxins and tension, and improves circulation and mental well-being. Our Traditional European Massage spoils guests with a rich blend of eucalyptus and palmarosa, soothing all our senses, and gently bringing about overall balance and joy. Guests are invited to choose eucalyptus for some of our other therapeutic spa treatments, or pick your pleasure from a variety of our pure essential oils, including lavender, peppermint and vanilla.

Ste. Anne’s own Eucalyptus Essential Oil can be used safely on the skin as well as in a diffuser. It’s essential to use pure, organic essential oils as they contain the healing properties you expect. Inferior oils can do more harm than good. Before bedtime, diffuse our Eucalyptus Oil and breathe in a better night’s sleep. When you feel tension coming on, simply place a few drops of eucalyptus oil into your hands, cup your hands over your nose and breathe in gently for a calming yet energizing boost. To alleviate a headache, simply sprinkle a few drops of eucalyptus oil on a rolled-up dampened face cloth and apply gently to your temples and the back of the neck. Our Take Me Back Eucalyptus Shower Mist is another pure aromatherapy treatment that you can use in your shower that is designed to help you enjoy all the beneficial effects of a spa steam room at home or on the road.
